Email Templates
Back to posts
In the last few months I’ve been asked by a few people how they can use an email template for their business emails. I have created a couple for different businesses and have started designing/implementing them into MailChimp, an email marketing tool.
So as a quick introduction – an email template is the overall layout of what your business email will look like. Some of the things you can include are your logo, link to your website, links to your social media eg. Twitter/Facebook/Linkedin/blog, a slogan and other contact details (phone/fax/address). Some of these are more useful in a generic email template (for everyday business conversations) and others in emails you are sending out as enewsletters (once a month updates, upcoming specials etc).
The benefits of having your own business email template is it looks great, it’s styled to your business image, you can promote services you might not mention within a normal email conversation and they’re not difficult to use.

If you’re trying to use an email template you will need to install it into the program you use to send emails. The most common are gmail, Outlook and Thunderbird.
