Here is a quick tutorial on how to start your own business Facebook page.
When you first go to Facebook – http://www.facebook.com you will see the signup page. To create a page for your business look below the main signup and click on the link titled “Create a page for a celebrity, band or business”

You will then be shown some options to describe what type of business you are, choose the most relevant to your business and enter your business name into the Page Name field.
Read the terms and conditions, and tick the box to let Facebook know you are the official representative of your business.

On the next page you can choose if you already have a Facebook account or not. If you don’t have an account choose the I do not have a Facebook account option and fill in the details below. This is to set up your login details.

Congratulations, you have created your Facebook page! You will receive a confirmation email from Facebook.
Now to make your Facebook page look like it belongs to your business:
First, click on the ? image. This will take you to a page to upload your profile picture. Upload an image of your business logo. Then your business logo will always be at the top left of the page, and on any post updates you make.
Next click on “Write something about your_business_name”. Here you can put a brief summary about what your business does.
By default you will have two tabs on your page, “Wall” and “Info”. Your Wall has a box that states “What’s on your mind?” This is where you can post updates about your business. Whatever you put here will be added to your page, and show up on your fans pages so they can see up-to-date information.

The info tab allows you to link to your website. You can link to more than one website if you have different sites for your business, blog, sales, etc. You can also let people know how to get to you via public transport and what type of parking is available.
Some other tabs (which can be added via the “+” button) are: Photos, where you can post photos of your products, shop front or designs, Discussions, which is like a mini forum your fans can talk in, Reviews, where your fans can write reviews and testimonials about your business.
If you click on “Edit Page” (found under your profile logo) it will take you to your page settings. Here you can say if you want other people to be able to write on your wall or post images, videos, links, reviews etc. You can come back and change this at any time.

Now you’ve created and setup your business Facebook page it’s time to let people know about it and get a fan base.
