Home is... website

Today we launched the Home is.. website.
Home is… is a project run by Anchor which aims to create discussion about homelessness.
Starting off with a month of photography sessions, each participant who had experienced homelessness was taught how to use a camera and different styles of photography that could help tell their story. Writing also became a large part of the project, originally we had two writers onboard to document stories from each person for their photos, but soon found we had many talented people in the group, so our writers helped them collect their thoughts into poems which will appear on the website and and spoken pieces which will be available to be listened to during the running of the exhibition.
The website is being launched in two sections, the first, as it is now, has some information about the project and details about the upcoming exhibition. The second part will be launched on October 5 with the physical exhibition and will show all works, image and written by each participant, more information about Anchor and the project, sponsors, and information on where the exhibition will be held over the next two years.
The exhibition will run from October 5 to November 4 at the Yarra Ranges Regional Museum, 35 – 37 Castella St, Lilydale.
All information about the exhibition, opening hours and ‘Tour and Talk’ presentations is listed on the website :-
