Scam: Technical Assistance (phone call)

There are reports of people getting phonecalls from someone saying they are from the Technical Assistance Department ringing you about your Windows Operating Computer (we’ve had about five already!) Do not pay attention to them, they tell you that they’ve been receiving reports that there is something wrong with Windows on your computer and try to gain remote access to it.
Note that this is a scam and the only people you should allow remote access to is a computer support person that you have contacted first in person.
